I think your LA visitors will like this one too. Well they like almost everything(99% of things). As long as no Hainan Chicken as Mr. Wei is good at that. He can cook for party of 50.

Tom Yum Goong is my "love and hate" Thai soup. Love is the wonderful mixture of every taste in it. Hate is the grease from the prawn head and coconut milk and the salt in the soup. So it's in soi 9 Narathiwas and I believe it's quite inside the soi, right - close to that night time stall street?

SS, too bad that I couldn't get you to try the charcoal boiled Chicken rice in Yaowara. The madam somehow left her business to her son but it seems like her son didn't inherit what his mother's skill. Charcoal cooking is incomparable!

TC and SEA. I have referred your blogs to some American friends who will visit HK and BKK for business trip later. They are amazed of your 2 food blogs and mentioned they would like to stay there for good.

Yes, I still remember it as last time the taxi driver got in a wrong lane but then I told him to go straight and take the turn to the 7/11 soi leading to Naksuwan. Ok, let me try try.

SS, what kind of food do your friends like - local style HK tea restaurant or Peking duck or dim sum or seafood?

Hi SEA,
My American friends like Peking duck or Thai seafood the most. They don't like HK style tea cafe restaurant(my favorite).

Peking duck? oh go to Mei-lay-kin la hahahaha :)

the scene in Mei-lay-kin is one ppl one duck, not one table one duck

they eat Peking duck like eating spring chicken

Yes I will tell them to do so.

Haha... Mei Lay kin - some customers even order a dish of Kung Po Prawns on sizzling hot plate (at least 8 prawns) for oneself, one fried rice and one stir fried veggie. The most amazing part is that I do see each of them finish all (e.g. 1 whole peking duck, 8 prawns, a dish of fried rice and a dish of stir fried veggie, but these are in a portion for 5-6 for one dish.)
