Gastro 1/6 is about (true) European style all day (though only until 3 pm) countryside brunch dining in downtown Bangkok (almost at your backyard if Sukhumvit area is where you lodge); it is in a pretty laid-back mode - both the servers and the customers. If we are not rushed to do the eating, we will enjoy it, and I do. And to enjoy the pleasure of an utmost laid-back excursion, do bring a novel, or your 3G compatible smartphone that can 'line' with your friends, or a tablet with you to kill time while waiting for your order and the food to be prepared.

It is good to be laid back once in s while.
Jamie's cuisine in this country look restaurant is nice to eat, but TC only gave it 3 stars?
Interesting to find this place in soi 22 suk.
This laid back Jamie's cuisine looks like one of those high tea homes that we had cakes close to Center Point in our previous years,
TC is very picky and strict in star rating Tommy.
You only took one salad? It's good to have a cafe like this in soi 22 Suk.
@Tommy: 3-star because owner doesn't use better ingredients for the posh price, even milk is from a supermarket, not direct from a farm; and service is sluggish (local-look server doesn't even speak decent Thai), not justify for us to pay a hotel's price to eat there, though food tastes okay.
@Stella: that tea garden near CP-Langsuan is more high-so, but at a low-so price; and she didn't serve 'supermarket' brand tea bags. (the tea was sourced from France)

I like that area a lot; very high-so with low-so price.
