This is(Lord Jim Restaurant at Oriental Hotel BKK) the best best buffet we have ever had. It made the rest no good at all. Even the birthday cake is so big, and it is free. Thank you Michael.
Oh Yes - Lord Jim's, my favourite buffett restaurant!!! Don't forget their bread - it's good with eating live oyster. One bite of bread and one oyster - bon appetite! Sashimi and the salad bar - so good!!! Even for the hot dishes, they can keep up very good quality. It's not easy for the buffet keeping good quality hot food. Foie Gras and the cherry duck - must try! Also, the 3 color-rice is nicely cooked. Don't think you should get a dozen of oyster after you pay for a buffet. Should try every little thing - that's what a buffet is called for. Then round it up with lots of various dessert. A meal can never be completed without a dessert!
Forgot to comment on the home cooking. That is the best food in town. It is delicious, it is healthy, it is good looking, it is free, and it is made with love by our house chef Mike.
Yes Fish Burger, You shall try the blogger's home cooking. It is both delicious and nicely presented, very comparable to those at restaurants. And the best part is it is free with wholehearted service. Good night. I am leaving this blog now.
no need to change to stove la, just let them stay in the new GRANDE Centre Point lor, they hv a grand stove there :)
btw, i do recommend Grande Centre Point next to the Four Seasons Bangkok and Centre Point Thongo in Bangkok hip and chic residential area, they r 5-star, but 3-star price (oh 2-star price if ur home currency is euro)
Yes, my uncle's home cooking is so good. I tried before with his home made soup which my mom said it was called the "Budda jumped over the wall". He put lots of ingredients there. It was so delicious(and also we don't need to pay). My mom or our maid will never cook half as good. I can only eat this at my uncle's place. Oh, also the tomatoe and papaya he made were good. We shall send our maid there to learn. From Piggy.
well, from the direct translation, it's "buddha jumps over the wall", but in meaning it'd be monks. This soup was used a lot of "dried seafood" and tastes so nice! About the hotels in Bangkok, nowadays I don't stay too long in the room; so unless as you said for a cooking course, it's useless for me to try whatever star it is. What I need is just a clean quiet room.

Yes, should be good as I can tell from the shape and color of those dishes. Khun Michael, keep up!
We shall visit Michael's home kitchen one day!

Next time I shall stay at Hotel of Blogger with package deal of home cooking.
Lord Jim is like a super 5-star Hotel quality with 2-star price. I like Lord Jim, Hamilton House, and Le Normandie.
Even your reader's name looks delicious and edible(Fish Burger).
This is fun.

Mmh... Mr. Thailand Club, you may need to change your stove eventually for the readers here.

Wow, your uncle is so fancy, he cooks Monk Jump Over the Wall at home? BTW, I think the monk jumps, and buddha don't jump hehe.
This Monk/Budda dish sounds interesting to me.
I heard this dish is expensive.
