Madam T.
446
.
A meal with the madame butterfly
Tucked in the maze-like Sukhumvit Soi 23 (Soi Prasanmit), there comes the Madam T. for Vietnamese cuisine; it is an alternative choice to the over populated bar and massage business in Asok's Soi Prasanmit.
Food wise, they are authentic and taste-bud friendly. Bun (a non-soup vermicelli dish, usually served cold, topped with chopped scallions, onion, chives and meat), which is a popular and a genuine Vietnamese one-dish meal that is hard to find in Bangkok, is surprisingly available at Madam T., and it tastes good.

Bun is a popular dish in Vietnamese dish in LA.
Bun is pronounced as "Mun" or "Mon" with the Chinese character "Lemon".
I like Bun a lot. If TC didn't remind me, I wouldn't have realised Bun isn't that easily found in BKK; whereas it's a must on the menu in every Vietnamese restaurant in HK. Madam T. is a nice place to check out.
Yes Bun is a "must" on menu at any Vietnamese Restaurant here in LA.
Funny it is not called Mun but Bun.
because bún is not a Cantonese food, Stella, bún is a Viet word, ur Cantonese translation (mon) is just a close pronunciation to the original Viet name of this food. oops of course bún doesn't pronounce bun in Viet.
Thank you TC for the note.
The dishes here look good especially the veggie roll.
Nice environment too.
Yes Sea and Stella, bun is a must have in the menu in HK. May be Vietnamese restaurants in Bangkok are fusion food, not authentic.
Thank you Tommy for the note.
Have a nice day.
The Twice cooked tamarind duck here is out of this world. Authentic or not it is great.
