Chilled summer non-stop

At Khao Chae Pa Daeng, I sampled ethnic chao-mon's khao-chae from pa Daeng (or auntie Red) family's recipe, with 180 degree breathtaking river view. Arguably best khao-chae chao-mon in Koh Kret Island. Only available during weekends.

Pa Daeng's khao-chae chao-mon set, THB 50; available weekends, all year round

Oh the rice soup khao chae really non-stop here! The food looks tasty! The ambiance romantic! Only 50 baht a set? Amazing!

I recall we once went to a place similar to this one. Yes, very nice view and the river breeze. 50 baht is so low price.

What else we can eat here if not in April?

Truly breathtaking view, upcountry calming in Bangkok!

@Sea: yes we ate at a similar one few years ago, there we ate kanom-jeen nam ya, and noodles (no khao chae at that place)

@Stella: in Thailand, Thai food of course!

Please take me go there next time. At least the view is good with the food. Something different.

Did you have a new phone or new camera?

This place is worth visiting. You can see lots of local cultural things and quite different from BKK metro. atmosphere.

Please include this for my next agenda as I like this place. At least there is a boat and river besides the food.

@Stella: i remember u refuse all nature sightseeing but only limited ur itinerary to modern facilities, so r u sure u want to take an hour boat ride + another one hour land transportation to Pak Kret (Sea, remember the above mentioned were how we went to Pak Kret for some food), then we need to take the ferry to cross the river to Koh Kret Island .. enjoy Stella, the field trip will be incl. on demand; btw, same phone and same dc

If there is other river view or island to go then we can consider the alternative too.
But for sure we(Chris) want something different(new) this time. At least one day or two to see some river, or island, just something different than all the previous trips. 2 days for new field trips is acceptable. I don't really mind the one-hour bus ride as I can sleep there. 2 hours is ok too if it is worth to go and ok with you.
Please put in the agenda first for 1st round brainstorming. Thanks.

Mmh... this agenda is quite floating... I kind of enjoy the scenery on the river boat trip. You can see much local culture, kids playing and people chatting along the river front. The restaurants in this area have some unique flavour which other restaurants in downtown BKK don't have. I would still very much like to pay for more visits to this area.

That is good news SEA, so we can come to this area together with Trainer and leave TC sleeping at home. LOL
