Let us guess again. This month is guessing month, not khao chae month!

The cuisine, very likely Japanese - Western cuisine. The food eaten, no idea.

Great.
I like guessing game.
Please give us some hint for the food you ate.

I think TC already gave us good hints in the 2 photos.

From the look of the menu, this is a modern cafe or coffee shop. You wrote the headline, Old School Cuisine. So this is some old school food served in a trendy cafe. The double fudge cake further support my assumption. I guess this one is either a Japanese style Western cafe or a Thai style Western coffee shop. As a guess should only have one answer. So I choose Japanese style Western cafe as my guess. For the food you ate, probably curry on rice. Thonglor and Ekamai district have so many this kind of old school restaurant don't they!

This looks like a cake shop.

Hi TC,
Can you tell us what kind of old school days is that? HK or Thailand or Japan?
Hi Fish Burger,
You are a logically smart fish.

The menu, the cake and the decoration all point to Western style food.

Old school is quite western style. Guess this should be a place for a hot choco, pancake, burger, sandwich or hot dog....etc.

The food next to the chocolate cake looks like bird nest dessert.

OK, since this is related to old school day dish so this can be fried beef noodle or Char Siu Rice or Japanese curry rice or other HK cafe style food.

Why no body think of khao chae? It is still April, p'TC khao chae month!

Tommy Leung said...

So no more khao chae and here we see Thai dishes again!

These dishes are pretty "ho" for old school day meals. Shall be from International School rather than Pui Ching Middle School or New Method or DBS....

I see. Old school Thai cuisine. BTW, what DBS stands for?

Stella said...

Hi SEA,
DBS stands for Diocission Boys School(Nam But Shui), the school mentioned in "Echo of the Rainbow".
The spelling may be wrong.
