Pad soo-ki haeng

Pad soo-ki haeng, stir-fried suki, is an unique dish in the old days Chinese immigrants to Siam (Thailand) created with the left-over from suki hot-pot. Nowadays ingredients no more taken from left-over, but all fresh ingredients consist of wun-sen (mung bean clear noodles), cabbage, morning glory, CN green onion, eggs and meat/seafood (stir-fried with suki sauce). Pad soo-ki haneg can be eaten with rice, or alone as an one dish menu.

Kaiyang Boran

Nested in one of Bangkok's oldest business area Tanao Road near the Bangkok City Hall, Kaiyang Boran (or Ancient Grilled Chicken) has been in business over 10 years serving original Northerneastern fare to Bangkokians. Patrons include members of the Royal Family, Bangkok mayors, movie stars, and me.

The grilled chicken was not the best. The somtum was good. The tom-zaap was very good. And the chao-huay dessert was excellent.
