Newlight

Newlight 大來

25 years ago when I landed on Siam Square, trend-setting young designers' fashions weren't there, the Novotel wasn't there, Hard Rock Cafe wasn't there, and the army of delicacy style eateries definitely weren't there, yet!

To eat, only decent food we could put into our mouth were from Baan Kun Por (closed, now Baan Khun Mae took over its glory), IATA (moved to Phetchburi Road) and Newlight.

How many of you would bring back some sweet-sixteen memory from this nostalgic Newlight Coffee House which still stand on Siam Square Soi 2, no matter how many times this area had gone through with several 'revitalization' changes during the last 25 years?

Wow... so delightful! I remember the first time I tried their stir fried fins it was so good. Not only the Chinese food but also some adapted Western food are good too. I do miss it a lot... Thanks for bringing the memory back.

All foods in BKK are good. And all people in BKK are good, at least better than a lot in US and France in general.
I don't mean to say US or French people are bad, they may not very good inside which I just cannot see, while Thai people I can see their friendliness at first sight. Especially after incidence that the Thai CX nice lady at airport insisted to help me save $500 US penalty, this is something that the airport staffs at LAX will not care less.
The above comment is my personal opinion only and has nothing to do with the blogger.

Of course Siam Square and New Light Coffee House are part of our (esp. Chula kids) teenage memory!
