Healthy Trend Strikes Back

Frozen yogurt were once so popular (in Thailand) in the 90's before it had been diminished from the market. After the 1997 economic crisis, people tend to spend carefully and these fancy and expensive (cost a lot more than soft ice cream) frozen yogurt became not justified.

Two years ago, the trend (of frozen yogurt) strikes back while people willing to pay a little more to control their waist size. Sfree is one ventured into the trend by offering healthy dessert and ice cream (actually frozen yogurt). In February Sfree's first premium outlet Parferio opens on Sukhumvit Soi 24, where spending power is not to be worried.

At Sfree, parfait desserts cost a little more than Baht 100; while at Parperio they go for Baht 150 and up.

Also popular again in LA since years 2007.
Yogurt Land sells for $0.30 per ounce. It is all machine run and self serve with more than 20 flavors to choose. Then the real person serves you with the topping, then weigh and pay. There is a long line on weekends. This chain store sells almost half price of Pink Berry which is high end but it tastes yucky to me(tastes like throw ups).
Yogurt Land tastes like Budda Belly per Chris.

Everything about healthy, organic, low fat, low sugar would mean a little more $. The frozen yoghurt trend is also picking up in HK. Will post more findings.

My theory of "low-money" meal against "high-money meal for low-sugar/sodium/fat" is to take less brown sugar from a coffee, eat moderate of those fat and greasy food. Remember don't go for the "money-free" meal. :)

To safe money we can buy burger from McDonald's, as their burger is good for a year, so we can eat the left-over any time we want :) no wastage at all

Well, some companies would donate certain almost expired food to elderly homes or kindergarten...etc. My friends told me the kids are now very clever to check on the expiry and reject those, but sad that our seniors would only find it out when it's too late that they have some forced detoxification. :)
