Phad Thai Samsen
BANGKOK AMAZING GOURMET
.
Phad Thai and then some!
On Sunday I went to Ratchadamnoen area for business; unfortunately, both red-shirts and yellow-shirts staged their protest carnival there. To avoid unwanted entertainment, I detoured to Samsen Road.
There are two eateries in Samsen area I couldn't afford to miss. One is Krua Apsorn while the other is Rad-na Samsen. Since Je Noom wasn't in her rad-na shop, I moved to eat at her neighbor Phad Thai Samsen. This is a phad Thai eatery very well received by officers from the Palace and civil servants in the vicinity (such as Bank of Thailand).

Har? The red and yellow shirt started the show again?
We also watched that news on TV. My local business friends told that they spent more time on transportation. Quite annoying to them.
Phad Thai, noodle of Thailand! Sell 25 baht a plate? Cheap wor.
Did not see some $1US dollar dishes for a long time. Good for you TC. These look delicious and cost most than $1US. What a bargain to see at BKK.
the bean sprout here is much fresh and better than that high-so noodle shop Len Zen in K-Village
So sometimes cheap may not be bad and expensive may not be good.
I think K-Village has high rent and therefore you pay for the rent rather than the food there.
if vendors hv to pay a higher rent, then consumers will absorb the cost, but that doesn't just limited to vendors in modern mall, it depends on the their ability and knowledge on lease, and if a restaurant invest in the shop, for long term the cost is much lower (eventually they shall hv good profit from that property) than rent-a-shop, thus the cost is lower, the food quality is higher ..
Mmh... interesting. Comment got lost. Was to say this one looks pretty nice. At least I like the natural tamarind sauce color. Supposed tamarind should be like this color. :)
