CoCo Ichibanya
BANGKOK AMAZING GOURMET
.
Curries for All
The less pungent and relatively sweet Japanese-style curry is always the welcoming alternative to Indian curry for people who have a soften palate on spicy food. CoCo Ichibanya, the J-style curry house with over 1,100 branches in Japan and overseas, has four huts in Bangkok, and counting.
Not only the J-style curry is subtly sweet in nature, but CoCo Ichibanya curries also let customers choose the flavor from mild to very hot in nine levels. So the heat and sweetness is on your hand!

Good to see that, especially on asking for the hot/sweet level. Haven't been to Esplanade for quite some time. Good reason to go there for a try.
This is the kind of curry I like, the Japanese kind.
This is similar to the "Hurry Curry" in Old Pasadena, which was recently recommended by a friend 3 weeks ago. Love at first bite as the curry can be mild, medium, hot and very hot.
And it is good to go with Coke. Coke is good for hot stuff or hot pot as it gets rid of the "heat". That is why Coke(or other soda) is called "cool water"(Leung Shui)here.
I like Japanese curry!!!
Indian curry is very popular in London, but not Japanese style.
Me, like J curry too. Wish one day McDonald's roll out Curry Fish Burger ..
I loved Cocos in Okinawa. Really glad to see there's a spot in Bankok. Do you know if there's a Cocos in Chiang Mai?
