I know this restaurant from SEA's post. It is very "ho", suitable for the Ho members to ho there.
This must be one of the Grand Dames of Italian fine dining in BKK. But prefer dining at D'Sens in the evening as the sun sets. I have to admit that the Italian eateries in Bangkok are generally better than those in KL.
Android, chance to visit Bangkok lately? Bangkok is inexpensive in fine dining, and now cheaper ever. Like Duist Thani celebrates its 40th year present in Thailand hv roll out a Fabulous 40 program. So dining at D'Sens will never be more affordable.
Was there recently (2 weeks back) for a meeting with MOF. The programme was packed. Sigh.
Android, I would highly recommend this one as well. Need to try D'Sens some time later. Hamilton's and Benjarong are impressive to me too.
Hey, I see my 3 buddies here.
This restaurant looks very elegant.
The Italian food here looks very presentable, delicious and high end.
Hee... Hee... Was just commenting to sky that I missed your photos. Wow. The food looks absolutely fabulous. And I like the blurred out self portraits. :p
I only saw a starbucks cup on the right and olive oil/balsamic vinegar on the left. From the photography point of view, these are what the photographer wanna show us. Khun TC didn't tell you the waiter in Il Cielo who took this photo, was a prof. photographer in day time and waiter as leisure in night time. Please try to conceive the photographer's artistic expression. :) Starbucks in mellow confrontation with Italian olive oil/vinegar.
Har. A Starbucks owns Italian restaurant or an Italian restaurant serves Starbucks drinks? I am confused now.
LOL. How clever. The whole photo looks like a tilt shift shot.
remember the AE advertising in the 80's "don't leave home without it"
today version is "don't leave home without a Starbucks, even in other restaurants"
good day Android , fish burger, Sea, Stella, and friends
Very true - remember there was a time I told you I left my credit cards in the hotel room and I felt very insecure though I have enough cash. So don't leave home without AE and now one more thing Starbucks. :)
btw, il cielo delicious Italian pizza and food r prefect match with Starbucks iced chocolate VIP recipe; for coffee, shall stick to Lavazza at il cielo
Hi Gentlemen,
1) I cannot get this picture clear so I cannot really see well on the 3 handsome faces. I know you did this on purpose la.
2) TC and SEA, you are too lucky to eat here at this fancy place with the fancy and tasty food at a very down-to-earth price. This is a lot cheaper than my guess. In this case may be I can eat here too.
Hello, any one plans to bring me here?
I like to try the appetizer platter, the snow fish, and the "Wall Beef".
3) Yes, don't leave home with Starbucks. I get Starbucks every weekend at least once. But now I found out Coffee Bean's iced choco drink is even better(not sweet at all).
I mean don't leave home "without" Starbucks. Sorry for the typo.
:)
quote from Stella in Sea's post "No need to bring me here as it is too high pressure eating so many good dishes at one meal. (Lots of work for my stomach la.)"

hahaha so we will listen to ur first pledge :-)
haha... ok.... got it. I will selectively erase some fresh memory. Stella, you have 2 months' time to have your stomach work out. Stretch it as often as possible.
BTW, we can order one tasting platter and snow fish and share them among 5 persons. Treat it as a high tea set. :)
ar this is a great idea! and since we treat that as an afternoon tea section, so make sure we bring our own Starbucks there .. :-)
Wow this for "high tea" is too heavy for my weak stomach(unless we skip lunch).
We can just eat here for lunch or dinner. For this good price we shall eat a normal meal here(lunch or dinner).
Stella. Please boost up your body now... No pain no gain. Remember you need to have your wish and dream come true from MO.
Yes you are right.
I shall bring some "Bill Fei Ming" from HK to BKK as this thing works very well for me and Chris. This yeast product really helps me to digest fast.
